Bike Tune-Up Service

The annual safety and performance check

This service is designed for riders who use their bicycles regularly for commuting or weekend trips and want a smooth, reliable ride. Over a season of riding, small adjustments shift slightly. We focus on restoring the crisp shifting and firm stopping power your bike had when it was new. It is an ideal tune-up for anyone who wants to avoid unexpected mechanical issues on the road.

What is included in the service

Our standard tune-up covers all the major mechanical systems of your bicycle. We clean the frame and inspect it for micro-fractures, then adjust the front and rear derailleurs for precise gear transitions. We also align the brake calipers, check the friction surfaces, and tension the cables. Finally, we true both wheels to eliminate minor side-to-side movement and inspect the tires for embedded debris or casing damage.

We believe in transparency. As our mechanic likes to say, “we do not fix what is not broken, but we always find the silent wear points before they cause trouble.” If we find components that require replacement, we will contact you with an estimate before proceeding.

How we run the shop

You can book your slot online and drop your bicycle off between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM on the scheduled day. Our typical turnaround time is twenty-four hours… if you bring it in on a Tuesday morning, it will be ready for pickup by Wednesday morning. We will send a brief text message as soon as the final test ride is complete.

Pricing and additional parts

The standard tune-up costs $85 — this covers all labor for the safety inspection, wheel adjustments, brake tuning, and gear alignment. The cost of replacement parts such as cables or brake inserts is not included in the flat fee. For example, a typical high-quality brake cable costs an additional $6, and we will install it during the tune-up without charging extra labor.
