  • Hello world!

Welcome to our site. This is the first post, kept as a landing note. For what we shipped recently see the release notes archive; for where to meet us see events we attend. The older announcements such as the March 2019 release are kept for history.

  • Our story

We started as a side project in 2017 and became a company two years later, a period we summarised in the 2019 year in review. Since then the team has grown slowly and on purpose. We still write our own release notes, still answer support ourselves, and still hold one retreat a year. The product has changed a great deal; the reason for building it has not: a company site should stay healthy without a large team behind it.

  • How to choose a plan

Choosing a plan comes down to three questions: how many sites you manage, how many people need access, and whether you want monthly or annual billing. Annual billing is cheaper over twelve months and is the option most teams settle on after the first quarter; we have occasionally discounted it, as in the Black Friday 2018 promotion. Support hours are the same on every tier, although the summer 2019 schedule shows how they can shift seasonally. When in doubt, start monthly and switch later.

  • Events we attend

We go to a handful of conferences each year, mostly to meet the people who use the product and to hear what is not working. Past appearances include Web Summit 2018 and several smaller regional meetups. We also hold an internal retreat once a year; the 2018 retreat notes are public because customers asked how we plan. If you would like us at your event, write to the team address and tell us what your audience needs.

  • Release notes archive

This page collects every release we have shipped, newest first, with a link to the detailed note where one exists. We keep the archive because customers ask what changed and when, and because a searchable history is the cheapest documentation there is. Older notes such as the March 2019 release are kept for reference even when the feature has since changed. If a note is missing, the changelog inside the product has the same information in a shorter form.

  • Year in review: 2019

2019 was the year we went from a side project to a company with four full-time people. We shipped eleven releases, the largest in March 2019, and moved to a real office in September. Revenue tripled between January and December 2019, mostly from annual plans sold during the Black Friday 2018 and 2019 promotions. We also attended two conferences and hosted our first customer day in October 2019. Thank you for a great year; the plan for 2020 goes out in the first week of January.

  • Summer 2019 office hours schedule

From 3 June to 30 August 2019 our support office hours move to a summer schedule. Live chat is open Monday to Thursday from ten to four Central European time, and Fridays are email only. Bank holidays in June and August 2019 are excluded. The change is temporary: the regular schedule returns on Monday 2 September 2019. Customers on the Agency tier keep their dedicated line through the whole summer of 2019. We will post any exceptions to this page during the season.

  • What changed in the March 2019 release

The March 2019 release shipped on 14 March 2019 with three visible changes and a long list of fixes. First, the dashboard now loads the last thirty days by default instead of seven. Second, the export button produces a CSV with the same columns as the screen. Third, invitations expire after fourteen days, which closes a support ticket from February 2019. Under the hood we moved the queue to a newer worker image and reduced memory use by about a fifth. The full changelog for March 2019 is in the release notes archive.

  • Black Friday 2018: 40% off annual plans until Monday

For Black Friday 2018 we are taking forty percent off every annual plan, from Friday 23 November through Cyber Monday, 26 November 2018. The discount applies at checkout with no code and covers the Starter, Team and Agency tiers. Existing customers on monthly billing can switch to annual during the same window and keep the discount for the whole year. The offer ends at midnight Pacific time on Monday and will not be extended. Questions about the 2018 promotion go to the usual support address.

  • Recap: our booth at Web Summit 2018

Web Summit 2018 in Lisbon wrapped up last night and our small team is back with sore feet and a full notebook. Over three days we spoke with roughly two hundred visitors at booth C-14, most of them founders looking for a simpler way to keep a company site healthy without hiring an agency. The most common question was about pricing for teams under ten people, which we answered with the November 2018 plan sheet. We also ran two short demos on stage two. Thanks to everyone who stopped by; the follow-up emails go out on Monday, 12 November 2018.
